91% Of Americans Are Concerned About Rising Health Care Expenses.

83% more respondents expressed concern over how much money the country spends on healthcare overall.

Many Americans are experiencing a rise in expenses as the Higher Year approaches with new health care rates, and they are not happy about it. A recent poll by the Kaiser Family Fund found that 91% of consumers are concerned about rising costs for private health care. 72% of respondents are concerned about government expenditure on Medicare and Medicaid, while another 83% are anxious about how much the country as a whole spends on healthcare. According to the report, 69% are concerned about how much their employers are spending on health insurance.

The worries are brought on by growing inflation across the board, which has sparked a contentious political discussion. According to KFF polls, the economy is the nation’s top worry, and 37% of survey participants agreed that the government should prioritize it. Health care issues also received a lot of attention; according to 9% of the populace, affordability concerns should come first.

About 60% of the 91% of survey participants who expressed concern about personal health care expenses expressed this concern very strongly, while 31% expressed moderate concern. Similarly, while 82% of Americans expressed concern over national health care spending, just 48% of them rated it as very concerning.

The KFF surveys also questioned people on specific policy changes in addition to their general political concerns. They discovered that 60% of respondents believe the passing of such a bill should be a top priority in terms of health care, with 95% of Americans stating they support the idea.

Furthermore, the majority of those polled said they agree with the Inflation Reduction Act’s measures aimed at bringing down health care expenses. Support cut across party lines; for instance, 54% of Republicans and 90% of Democrats supported the extension of ACA health insurance subsidies.

According to the KFF analysis, many of those polled favored more financing for vaccine outreach and mental health care.
